How about a review of the facilities -- showers - pitches - access - how big --etc

Is that the one in the walled garden? If so we went many, many years ago to visit some friends in Bridlington and we also found it a nice site. As Maurice say it would be useful to have a fuller review.

Ok guys I'll do my best, here goes. The site was easy to find, well sign posted. It's situated 4 miles inland from Bridlington. It is totally surround by a high brick wall. On arrival we stop at reception to book in, the warden was a lovely lady who could not do enough for us. We found our pitch ( think there is about 78 in all ) There was loads of room enough for the van & awning & the car at the side of that. The shop had all the usual emergancy things that you usually run out off! The showers were immaculatly clean, only had 3 showers in but they were really hot & plenty of pressure better than mine at home! free hairdryers & a laundry. The disabled facilities were very good. The only down side was the tv reception, we couldn't get our freeveiw, but it didn't bother us. Good places to walk the dogs. Would go again. They have a web site www. thorpehall. co. uk

Think that covers every thing. I could get a job at the BBC now.

Hi All

I am thinking of going to Thorpe Hall in July but will proberbly break the journey up by stopping half way over night at another site. A few I have been looking at are Four Oaks at Henley-on-Thames which is a Caravan Club Member site and Clumber Park in Worksop.

Have any of you been to these sites and if so can you recommend them.

Thanks

Nick

Nick have been to both sites and they are both good. At four Oaks avoid pitching next to the main road if you can! Clumber Park is really lovely however if you are taking bikes just be careful of security as there have been a few problems there recently with bike thefts. The site does have a lock up facility for bikes.

We went ot Thorpe Hall a few years ago and found it a very friendly site and very clean. It does advertise fishing lake but my hubby never cought a one. We stayed a month in september and it was good value at that time of year. The owner of the site even though hes a " Lord" was a very nice fella. Would reccommend this site for that area of the country. jeanabbey
