Truma Ultrastore Water Heater

My water heater does not heat up on 240v but is okay on gas, is there a reset swich or button i need to try,last time out i think the heater may have been switched on without water in the tank so probably the element has gone can anyone tell me how to check for definate that it is done and i need be how to change it.

There is an overheat switch in the water heater to cut out the element when overheating due to lack of water. Normally it should reset itself.

Its item 50 on the attached diagram and list

Depending on the heater model there may be a smal (red coloured) reset button on the inside end. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know

If you manage to turn the elctric on with no water in the tank then it will trip, and protect the heater. If you then fill the heater and turn it off or otherwise disconnect it from the mains for a mimum of 5 mins then the heater will reset itself and will heta the water on electrics again.

Hi can you elaborate what you mean "inside end"

Sorry for being unclear - if its the type of heater I'm thinking about one end is to the outside of the van with the gas cowl - the other end is pointing into the van.

That one is not a trumastore heater that one is a Carver Cascade.
