Watson(JohnG) Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 Actually, the star wheel is a nut running on a thread so it is possible to work out which way to turn it. It is possible but logic sometimes fails when lying under the caravan looking at things upside down(well it does for me!) John Wickersham in his manual says "An arrow stamped on many backing plates indicates which way to turn the adjuster to increase braking.
