RogerL
I don't think there is an average - it all depends how much daily current, in Ah, you need and how long you're typically away without a hook-up.
Paul_B
So many panels to choose from - its a minefield. Is there an average wattage that most people go for ? Help please as I`m going round in circles Usually its 50 watt panel that's recommended if the panel is facing the sun, or about 80 watt if you have the panel flat, as on the roof. Kyocera solar modules are about the best for efficiency & price. cutting your power use will also help conserve electric using led lights low wattage tv etc. If you can manage without a tv then a lower wattage panel will also work. You will also need a 110ah battery to store the electric that a panel produces, & if you get a panel over 18 watts you will also need a charge controller (regulator) & the choice of controller is just as important as the choice of panel If you do a forum search on solar panels, you'll get lots more information Quote Paul B . .......Mondeo Estate & Elddis Avanté 505 (Tobago)
