torvil
I have just aquired my first caravan and have found that the caravan motor mover doesn't appear to be working. When I press a button on the remote or the reset button on the top left of the control panal I hear a 3 click noise and get a continual flashing yellow (middle) light along with the red (bottom) light which flashes 3 times. I know it's a mark 1 Carver Model and the battery is continually fed from the mains so I think I should have enough power. I have not checked the batteries in the remote. Any help or advice would be great. <_<

torvil
Thanks Phil, I have downloaded, saved and read it. Unfortunatately I have read the information sticker on the front of the control panel which indicates that 10 red flashes followed by a pause suggests a sticking relay. Hopefully someone will enlighten me if the unit is repairable.
Arc Systems
It's not a mk1 controller as they didn't have fault codes, the three led type, to my knowledge, was the AR2 controller which was the last before Truma finally moved to soft start? What is always a good idea is to change the remotes batteries, this is known to cure a multitude of faults. Yellow is low voltage I think which as it appears the battery is fully charged means that's not actually the problem, this may also apply to the alleged 'sticking relay' fault. What I've found is the 'brain' flashes what it thinks is the fault or perhaps the fault as far as the end result, the true fault is more often further back ie, if the flashes represent for instance 'short to earth' then this more often means a relay is not switching on, it could be a relay at fault or the electronics that switch that relay, what it's not is a short, but the brain reads it as that.
