RogerL
We've stayed there - it's quite nice, lots of little groups of pitches, doesn't look like a typical CC car park - the pub is a short walk up the road and serves good food but gets very popular - the nearby quarry does generate some noise during the day - the toilets are experimental dry composting, environmentally friendly but some find them off putting. ad210358
Went there last year for three nights last Easter, Plenty to do in the area, Rogerl remarks about the Quarry did not apply to us as it was closed due to the bank holiday, there is a Texaco Service Station next door with a small shop to get the odd item of grocery and daily papers. Had a great time even though there had been a lot of rain prior to Easter and some of the pitches were a bit sodden, then to cap it all we had quite heavy snow on the way home. But we had a good time and would go back again.

Guest Rimmer
Nice site, have been several times over the past 9 years. Last time was a year ago. Don't be put off by the loo's, they are very clean and do not smell, nor can you see anything. One thing tho, is the down draft created when you lift the lid! One gets a cold botty! Basically the loo's are such. ..you go into a cubical as normal, but the cystern and flush are missing. Open lid, do jobby, close lid and leave cubical, wash hands! job done! You will have a seat as normal, but the pan is a bottom less stainless steel tube, the tube is designed never to get soiled and you truthfully can not see the bottm contents. GeorgeB
been there, would agree with everything thats been said but my only comment would be that that the showers in the toilet blocks were at at best a dribble! use your on board shower! Great site! would recommend it to anyone who wants a Dorset Site thats not commercial!
