jwa
We are using the Hull-Rotterdam crossing in April,my question is,if the van is left connected to the car electrics will the fridge still be drawing power from it when parked on the ferry. It's just one of those things you suddenly wonder about. Thanks, John.
rugrat2
The switched relay should not be sending any power to fridge when engine not running. . Quote Neil. . Ford Mondeo Titanium x Auto Estate / Bailey Pagent burgundy series
Alan J
As Neil says this indeed should be the case - however, the CC does recommend that you unplug the van "just in case" but ensure that you remember to re-connect before driving off. RogerL
Although the triple-source fridge has 12v as an option, thats for car alternator power, when the engine's running, through the 12S or equivalent 13-pin circuit - it's never normally using the leisure battery. Some motorhomes do use compressor fridges powered from their leisure battery via an inverter but absorption fridges would use too much current.
