ildi
Hi We have booked into this site for 3 night from the 2nd week in March. It does look nice on the website www. fernwoodpark. co. uk. However this will be the first time out in our Limousin and wanted somewhere nice but different to try it out. It is not too far from Telford. We did want to go to the site in Bridgnorth called Stanmore Hall but it is very busy that weekend. The other alternative was Severn Gore Caravan Park in Telford however I could not get excited about that as it was right on the doorstep. Any advice if you have been there please would be appreciated. Quote bobsnobs
Guest
It was a long time ago since I went there with my Trailer Tent and it is a nice site. Stanmore sister site Oxon hall in Shrewsbury is a very nice site too. Edited February 24, 2009 by Guest
brownie
Hello ildi, we have been to fernwood a couple of times and would definitely go there again. It is a little bit out of the way but a lovely site, clean and good size pitches. Good Luck , John. I would also recomend both stanmore and oxon hall. ildi
Thank you for your replies. We drove to Fernwood today and then decided to look at Beanconsfield in Shrewsbury which is another 5* site. In the end we went for the latter due to the fact that the route was easier for the first run. I agree that Fernwood is quaint & quiet site with lots of trees birds etc but the drive through Wem was very tight. As its our first time out in the van we though that Beaconsfield was a straight route. I was suprised when i got to beaconsfield as it has a heated indoor swimming pool and restaurant with bar it is also rated 5*....the park & ride if we wanted it is only 5 minutes away. If we forget anything we are not far from Salop Leisure if we need to buy bits. ..... Quote bobsnobs
