Just checked the 2005 handbook for Swift Group vans and there is no mention of a water filter.

I picked up a 2004 swift Charima yesterday and asked about the water filter. The young lad who showed me round the van told me that they do not use filters anymore, something to do with other ways of filtering water these days.

Seems a daft idea to me but I am told Reich taps which Swift use now have a filter in the spout, I wonder if this is what is meant by "other ways"

Supplied with our new Abbey is a plastic/nylon spanner thingy for removing the tap spout head for cleaning the spray part - I would hardly call it a filter though.

there you Guys,

Water filter

A completely new development is a water filter inside the spout, developed by REICH. The active carbon filter is placed directly where the water exits and by this avoids the disadvantage of conventional filters. With conventional filters germs and bacteria can develop from deposits between filter and exit and then come out of the tap.

Apart from this it is easier than ever to quickly exchange the filter: simply pull the spout off the tap and fix a spout with an integrated active carbon filter. Ready! Also the risk of water coming out through leaking connections after the exchange is avoided.

The active carbon filter integrated in the spout does not influence the water flow more than any other conventional filter, which means only very little. We recommend you to exchange the spout with the filter either after appr. 1000 l of water have flown through or no later than after 6 months, depending which of the two occurs first. The twin-pack (each one spout with active carbon filter for kitchen and washroom), which we offer at an advantageous price hardly burdens your holiday budget.

The REICH spout with active carbon filter fits on these taps:

Keramik KAMA

Keramik COLOR

Keramik CLASSIC

Keramik DE LUXE

Keramik STYLE 2002 und 2005

Keramik MONO

TWIST

We are currently preparing to offer adapters for all other common caravan and motor home taps with removable spouts and should be able to deliver them at the beginning of 2001.
