Water Filter advice needed

Hey This may seem like a dumb question, but as I think I have some green slime buildup in the water cylinder, how would you go about getting some Janola into it? I've tried using a syringe to squirt it in the hole but it all comes straight back out! Not sure whats going on there

Just ordered filter with spare filter sack plus 2 refill packs of 2 = 1 filter and 6 filter bags at £37.49 inc p&p

Whale at around £20 a throw is on the steep side for a filter but at those prices i change filter everytime i go away even if its a weekend.

We use Elsil purifier in the aquaroll and a fine gauze filter tied round the pickup to trap any bits when on Scottish spring water.  The whale filter in the aquaroll, I removed the carbon filter (disgusting inside)   replacing it with a copper weight to stop it from floating.
