Restocking the caravan.

Recommended Posts

Well we normally live in our caravan for around 285nights a year.

However having bought the caravan home on 1st November 2020, prior to the second lockdown, lots of bits and pieces were taken out of it into home.

I made a list as we removed stuff. Putting it back I really did a pruning job though.

Off in the morning, and apart from the odd night not back until December, health permitting !

Good on you !!!

Get out there and enjoy life, there are many (126,000+) who are no longer around to do so :(

Experience is something you acquire after you have an urgent need for it.

Most of what we need is in the caravan. When we go we need only clothing, food and some bedding. As we are in Scotland we are still not allowed out in the caravan although I have seen some in the last few days. The last one was in a car with only the driver and heading away from the direction of Duncans so possibly it had been serviced.

Conveniently our MH is stored at home, therefore we have the advantage of being able to rotate the food contents with the house. During the lockdown the MH fridge/freezer has been run almost continuously as we have tried to space out online food deliveries and consequently have needed additional storage capacity.

Non perishable goods and general equipment was removed last year prior to a service and MOT, so only 'essentials' were repacked. There is a distinct possibility that the MH will be due another MOT due before we are able to get away in it though :(

We leave everything in the caravan save for food and clothing. Towels and Bedding are washed and put back in the van ready for the next trip. Agree with Plodd, would rather have life in my days than days in my life!

Yes, aware of that.  Just wondered what items you removed?

Ahh got you. Surplus cooking equipment. Mugs! Had far too many.

Duplicates of tools!

Extra towels and T cloths
