WispMan
This Christmas is an excellent opportunity to see Santa Claus race across the sky as he makes his way home early on Christmas Day morning. He will be visible from any part of the UK from 7.02am to 7.08am rising in the South West horizon and flying for over 6 minutes off to the eastern horizon. He will be brighter than any star and will be obvious as he will look like a very fast moving star. In London and the South East he will rise to be nearly overhead and up here in Cumbria he will get to 45 degs above the horizon. So make sure you have a reasonably good horizon and the little ones will have their beliefs reinforced. You will only need a clear sky and the name of his rocket is .................the International Space Station but the children won't care about that as they will have seen him!!! Best of luck and thanks to Heavens Above webpage 2 Graham Unless otherwise stated all posts are my personal opinion

YorkshireLhasa
If any of the Air Force guys had to work Christmas Eve, we all explained to the little ones that they were needed to help Santa because his Gnome Positioning Service didn't always work properly (too much egg nogg!). They were so proud that their Mums and Dads were working with Santa!

Our kids used to love that! Sadly it's a tradition no longer in our house, they've grown too old for that now.
