Duplicate paperwork for a German Registered Hobby

Recommended Posts

Hi. Any advice on getting paperwork for a German registered Hobby? Im in Spain and want to have the van matriculated on to Spanish plates. Its almost impossible to do without paperwork tho.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

What year is the Hobby? If it was built during the last 6 or so years, it should have come with an EU type approval Certificate of Conformity, which is what you need to register it in Spain (or anywhere else in the EU for that matter). It would have been necessary to register it originally in Germany, too. Failing that, if you give the manufacturer the VIN number, you should be able to get a duplicate directly from them.

You need the German logbook and deregister  it with the German authorities.

Is the caravan actually still registered in Germany or not? If it isn't the logbook will already have been surrendered. Maybe it only has an invalidated German number plate attached.
