Johnbhoy
Just wanted to know what fellow caravaners think about using cruise control when towing and if there are any legalities involved ?
Jacko1
I use my adaptive cruise control all the time, certainly helps curtail speeding on motorways and thru' roadworks. Am not aware of any legalities using it whilst towing. 2018 Volvo XC60 D4 AWD + Penshurst Premier Plus (AKA Elddis Affinity 550)
PMW
There are no legalities around the use of cruise control, however remember that you remain responsible for the speed of the car. I rarely use cruise control even the adaptive or "distronic" in the Merc as I hate the way they retard speed downhill then rev up to gain it back going uphill, or vice versa. I do engage the limiter when towing however.
