rovinmad
Can I ask what prompts you to ask that question?
Paul1957
It will have brakes and the hand brake will pull them on so you know they work. If it has not been serviced recently it will be worth having one so you know the brakes are good.

We were just checking it was within the limits of our tow car (it is easily) and noticed the limits for the car varied according to whether the towed thing in question had brakes or not - we didn’t know the definitive answer so thought we’d ask 22 minutes ago, Paul1957 said: It will have brakes and the hand brake will pull them on so you know they work. And absolutely - a service is booked in just to be sure
Mr Plodd
ALL trailers (caravans are trailers by definition) that have a gross weight in excess of 750kg must, by law, be fitted with an operational braking system., About the only unbraked one’s you will ever see are the small “gardening” type trailers you sometimes see displayed outside Halfords.
