So it’s battery shopping time. I’ve been looking and boy what a minefield getting a new battery is, so what battery.........

that will be for another thread. Thanks for everyone’s help and being patient to an absolute novice like me.

First we need to know what your intended caravanning style will be, as aspects of that are rather fundamental in the choice of a battery. Plus if it involves the critical "off EHU" usage, is there a solar cell involved and its Wattage rating,  as that can mitigate the need to go the more expensive routes.

we pretty will always be using EHU when out

we don’t have a motor mover

No need for anything large capacity or special then as you won't go off grid often if ever.

Please no.  This thread will do fine!

I have read that Halford's leisure batteries are rebadged from a quality maker.  Their small 70Ah is £75 for 17 kg off your payload, and £95 for the larger 115 Ah, 25.4kg.

Tayna is one reputable online retailer and have Yuasa batteries at reasonable prices. https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/yua

2012 Bailey Pegasus 2 Rimini towed by 2019 Ford Galaxy Titanium X, 2.0 EcoBlue, 8 speed auto.

Thanks for the link to Tayna they seem the best priced for what you get. Choice has been made, it will be the yuasa 115aH https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/yuasa/l35-115/

plus a bonus 10% off as I am a member of CMC yippee. No thread needed, job done
