No one can give you a price. As different areas have different rates.
Also a lot will say you get what you pay for.

I pay £133 a year with Caravan Guard. A friend has an almost identical van and lives 100 miles from me and pays £160 same company.
Shop around, but look at the small print

Mine went down by £4 I normally haggle for a bigger reduction, but I wasn't going to try and get it down any further. Reason being the market value of caravans has rocketed.
My vans value has increased £1500, so I know I'd of being paying a lot more

Had my car renewal and that's going up £400.
Like I said shop around. Only you can really do that

There isn't. My vans 12 years old.
Like I said market value has rocketed, due to all these new owners and a short supply of caravans

My response to “I’m not going to insure it” statement is pretty simple.

Can you afford to go out and buy an identical caravan to your current one without it hurting financially?  Because that’s what you would need to do should you lose your current one. If you answer no to that then you need to carefully reconsider your decision for the sake of just £20 (that’s about 4 gallons of fuel or a round of drinks) ?

Or can you afford to perhaps buy someone else a caravan when your van has been the cause of theirs being written off.

Don't for get that the insurance covers public liability, which on my Eversure is £2M.

Incidentally, my premium went up by only 1p this year.

Just tried quote but new for old only available if bought van new. Some other insurers don't stipulate this

Thats probably so, in the event of a claim, they can ask to see the invoice so they don’t pay out more than you paid for the caravan in the first place!

My insurer WILL pay for new van, even though I bought at 11 months old. I checked this when taking out policy, and myself and insurer checked current new prices to ensure cover amount was adequate. They did not ask for price I paid as they said was not relevant for new for old cover.

At £118 your premium is so low I am not sure you will get anything seriously lower. Given what is being covered I would seriously doubt any quote lower than that. I could not find a caravan policy for Quest but they are not insurers according to the website and must be taking a commission from the premium, so what have they got left to pay claims with after that.

If you want decent cover I would be looking at the likes of NFU, Caravanguard and SAGA.

Check Davies Group who handle claims for Ripe and then look at the very mixed reviews.

On another forum, A guy has been waiting 11 months for Ripe to settle a theft claim.

They've said he isn't doing enough to try and recover his belongings.
Police don't know, the storage place doesn't know. How the hell he is I'll never know
