Water control what is it for.

Spotted what looks to be a temperature control in the washroom, can't find out anything in the handbook.

Anyone know if it is for the shower temperature, wash hand basin or something else?

You might need to follow the pipes to see where it goes or you could do a test, set it to a cold setting and see which hot taps then go cold. When you come to drain down it will probably have a non return valve in it so the pipes might need disconnecting from it to get the water out. Hope its mounting plate does not have any sharp edges to cut your hands when you disconnect its pipes.

Thanks men, turned it both ways with the hand basin tap running mixed hot and cold but no difference in temp.

Will try it when the shower is in use in the morning.

The temperature is to control the shower water temperature. For small children this is a good idea because caravan showers tend to come on with very hot water for a moment then settle at the selected temperature. That moment of very hot water can be scary for a child.

Hello. That looks like an Alde high temperature TMV, part number 3102-002, recently superseded by the smaller, lighter, higher performance Alde TMV3 (part number 3102-006).

An installer would normally use a TMV to protect all the hot water outlets, or just the shower. If adjusting the TMV does not affect the kitchen tap, for example, it almost certainly protects the shower only.

Thanks for that Alde UK, still not tried it with the shower temperature yet.
