Hi all away in our caravan on the east coast our fireangel decides to go off usually round about 1 am most mornings, fitted new battery doesn't go off during the day, cant understand why. model number SI-601 thanks for any suggestions.Paul

Googling it, it may be because of temperatures being their lowest in the middle of the night and all to do with resistances. 

Don't dismiss it being gas from your leisure battery. Very unlikely but a distant possibility.

If positioning is correct, and cleaning as described doesn't fix, the manual says to contact Fire Angel for advice. 

 

How old is the alarm? (Most alarms have an expiry date label).  They come with a 5 year warranty and 10 year life,

 

:blink: Overnight temperatures are rather warm currently - even on the East Coast. ;)

Thanks for the replies the replace date is Mar 2026,going to give it a clean an see how it goes..

Still in Warranty then, if not successful (Mar 2016 + 5 = 2021).

 

Note that FA no longer make Ionisation smoke alarms https://www.fireangel.co.uk/blog/why-fireangel-is-moving-away-from-ionisation-alarms So they'll probably replace with an optical equivalent if they deem it faulty.
