I have a "continental " gas regulator. How do I.tell how much gas I have left?

See if there's a weight marked on it.   On my Calor propane bottle there is, so it's just a matter of weighing the bottle then subtracting the weight of the empty bottle .

A regulator merely lowers the pressure from the gas tank to feed the cooker etc! It’s not a gauge of any description.

If your gas cylinder is “Calor” make then the empty weight is somewhere on the cylinder (a collar around the neck, or stamped in the base etc) deduct that weight from the actual weight of your cylinder and that’s how much you gas you have left.

Another way is to pick up your cylinder up and shake it!

Experience is something you acquire after you have an urgent need for it.
