Video - Caravan and Motorhome Club CL site owners celebrating VE Day

Recommended Posts

Another great lockdown video from the CL Owners' Group - Caravan and Motorhome Club site owners celebrating VE Day - don't forget to turn on your speakers for the song.

Please note that Caravan and Motorhome Club 5-van sites are currently closed but we look forward to welcome you back when we are able.

FOR BACKGROUND
·         CLs are Certificated Locations - privately-owned sites in the United Kingdom, exclusively for members of the Caravan And Motorhome Club.
·         CLs are licensed and inspected by the Caravan And Motorhome Club, but are independently owned and operated.
·         CL Owners receive no funding from the membership fees paid by Club members.
·         Our caravan sites are currently closed to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, but we are keeping our sites ready for when we can welcome you back.
·         CLs can accept a maximum of 5 touring caravans or motorhomes at any one time.
·         Research published In 2019 showed that visitors to small 5-van sites contribute £100 million to the rural economy.
·         This video has been produced by a small group of CL Owners, unaided by the Caravan And Motorhome Club.  Song arranged and sung by Peter Boardman.

All the Best,

Second time I have seen this lovely site advertised in the past 2 weeks.  Looks very nice and quiet there.  Pity it is too far for us to travel and not in the right location for our travels as we prefer south where it is warmer.  LOL!  :D

Great to see the CL network being highlighted.  For many of us the wonderful CL network was the only reason to pay the annual subs to the CMC.  It's a pity that the CL's and CS's cannot form their own association and work independently from the CMC and C&CC. It would suit those who prefer laid back caravan in stunning rural scenery....

Besides the two main clubs, there are many organisations authorised to licence 5-van sites

Sorry BG,

You are just about as wrong as you could possibly be.

That is a list of 'exempted organisations' that can hold caravan rallies.

They are not licences to run 5 van CL type sites permanently.

Rallies are covered by the exemption to paragraph 6 of the  Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960.

Organisations on that list showing exemption for paragraph 5 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 are able to issue exemption certificates for 5 van CL types
