This site is a bit of a mixed bag. Some excellent pitches with great views, and some rubbish tarmac, more like a car park. There are also some very poor non awning pitches, which may be why this site often has them when other sites do not.

Some choose to use the tarmac areas however.

I accept that, I just do not understand them. To me it looks terrible, but in wet weather it might be better than the grass.

Now that's an open door EasyT, As we are mainly rallyers I always prefer a grass pitch, what throws me is sites where the pitch is compacted gravel or chippings and the awning footprint is grass ? And an awning footprint solely on chippings or gravel is my idea of hell. In my opinion only.

Thanks for leaving the hard standing for me.

I did quite like this site. One thing was my pitch, which overlooked Morcambe Bay.However a couple of pitches near were completely jacked up at the front corner steadies. It was worth the walk to Grange over Sands just to see the railway station.

It has now been announced that the CAMH have taken a twenty five year lease on the site but like all other sites it is not clear when it will open.
