Water pipe/pump support

Recommended Posts

Earlier today there was a posting which appeared to be advertising a little gizmo which held up the external water pipe whilst you trundle off  to refill your aquaroll.  After just a few replies, the post disappeared very quickly, presumably taken down by the mods, and quite rightly so.

However, it did make me think that the person who was making and selling this item hadn’t realised that this facility already exists on most pipe connectors. And this ‘inventor’ is not the only one as there are others available for purchase on eBay, Facebook and elsewhere.

The item was basically a short piece of awning strip with a loop of webbing strap attached; this slipped into the awning skirt rail so that you can hang the pump/pipe/filter out of the mud. Here’s an example …

Whether you feel you need something like this or not doesn’t really matter  - as both the main types of pipe connectors already have built-in clips to keep the end of the pipe clear of all that dirty gravel …

More often the little awing rail and webbing things are used along the side of the van at slightly increasing lengths so there is a fall, to keep the waste pipes neat and tidy; great idea! Will be making my own at some point.
