Hi, I have a swift challenger and have noticed there is a constant low pitched beep from the alarm, it’s there weather the power to the van is on or off, and when the alarm is set or not, if I remove the battery terminals it’s still there, the only time it stops is when I pull apart the multiplug connector to the alarm control box under the front seats, has anyone any idea what would cause this, thanks in advance

Maybe the alarm is trying to tell you its battery needs replacing although our alarm does not make this noise. In our case the battery is in the metal box that contains the alarm and is accessed by removing a screw so its cover can pivot up.

As said check the backup battery . Some alarms also have batteries in PIR sensors that have to be changed .

there is a battery inside the alarm which is charged by the 12v battery, so start there.

How old is the caravan? Ours is 2 years old now and has been back to the dealers twice to sort out alarm problems, both under warranty. It's also worth giving Sargeant, (the alarm manufacturers) a ring, they are very helpful and they will liaise with the dealer to sort your problem out.
