Fiamma Caravanstore Roll Out Canopy. 2.8m

Recommended Posts

I have recently acquired this and fitted in awning rail. It is several years old but has never been used.

Is there any requirement to fit some form of protection between rolled up awning and side of caravan whilst towing?

Thanks for any information.

Fiamma do supply foam pads to stick behind the pressure points, that is were the rafter push against the van.  They may also provide some cushioning when travelling.

I doubt they make any great difference and I have managed without for years without damage.

We had ours fitted without any pads for more than 10 years and no damage. It actually rested on the awning light but didn't cause a problem.

It may be worth a few bob in investing in Stoppers to stop the Fiamma moving whilst en route and if the wind gets up on site

If you mean the ones that fit in the awning rail, we had a couple included when we bought the caravanstore. That was a while ago of course.....
