Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

The caravan going back to dealers this weekend to get another problem sorted (hopefully)

This time its the rear bedroom and toilet lights  that keep blowing the 10 amp fuse, anybody else had a similar problem ?

Its an 2018 Unicorn Pamplona

Not uncommon for screws etc. to be put through wires or for wires to be pinched during assembly.

In my case it was the 12 core cable in the A frame pinched by the jockey wheel.

I assume this has only just become an issue?

If you are of a diy persausion it might be a spade connector that has come loose and grounded within the light fittings-worth a try maybe?

Yes just last weekend, all was well (at least with the lights ) till then, the front lights in the lounge and kitchen area still work but there on a different fuse.

Just getting a bit (removed) off with always having to return it to the dealer 160 mile round trip plus they have the caravan from Saturday till the next Saturday so missing out on 2 weekends also

It's always a pain to go back to the dealers for faults, even when they are fairly close by.  Although you shouldn't have to DIY minor repairs, time and cost wise, it is sometimes the best option.

As already suggested, it's worth a look to see if it is something simple that is causing the problem.  320 miles of traveling is not cheap on fuel or time.

If you cannot DIY, it may be worth getting a mobile caravan engineer to come have a look and pay him to investigate and be quids in and no dragging the van about.

You could check if the dealer has somebody local to you who they would use to save the round trip.

One of our led reading lights caused the fuse to blow even when switched off! 2018 U4 Cabrera, not the usb charger lights. Light replaced under warranty and ok since.
