Sealants are available for specific purposes - some adhesive - some not - some mastic flexible etc etc.  You will have to read the specs and choose the sealant best suited to your need.

However, Sikaflex 221 is a good all rounder and used by many for general sealing.

Click on the link above and you will see black and white.

Does this tend to be available in caravan accessory shops or is it a specialist/online only affair?

Salop Leisure sell this in their caravan shop at a higher price than from the firm I linked to.

What is the difference between 221 and 512? (Yes, 291!)

You will have to read the spec sheet each and then buy the one suitable for your needs.;)

It's sold in some decent car accessory shops as well ( Parkers of Leicester for instance) as it's used to help attach some of the panels on modern cars. ( In MB)

Also on line ( try eBay )

Just remember Sikaflex 512 is an adhesive sealant.   It is what I have used in the past but it not something you want to use for a temporary fix.   I’ve generally bought mine off eBay.

Edit.   James F posted as I was typing.  But on our old land cruiser the drivers plastic door panel fell off in the sun.  Most of the clips had broken and I glued it back on with Sikaflex.   It stayed in place until we got rid of the car at least 5 years.

Had mine from a local motor body finishing company, most caravan dealers sell some, if you know which variant you need eBay has every one of them.

I use Soudal Fix-all. Find it lasts better than Sikaflex when exposed to the weather. Also contains a mould inhibitor. Easy to apply and smooth down. Is available in white, black and grey although I always find the black is more ‘runny’ than the white and a little goes a long long way. It can be cleaned off with brake cleaner or similar.

Available online or from the Range and maybe other outlets too.

I've used Evo stik 007 on a multitude of different things, it's a sealant and adhesive, a very good all rounder.
