Wheel Cover

Recommended Posts

I have an Isabella aning skirt and wheel cover.  The wheel cover has female metal poppers for attachment to the side of the caravan.  But I have no male poppers screwed to my can and nor do i want them.  Can you buy sucker type things that incorporate the Male poppers?  I'm too scared to google "male popper sucker

Although caravans don't have them, folding campers do, and they are so good.  I've found with caravans, it seems a hit and miss affair, its terrible to see.  Again, as I've mentioned on this forum before, caravan builders could do with learning a few things from the makers of Conway/Pennine folding campers.  How about sticking hooks onto the side of the caravan, and make holes (you can get the tool for this that puts in a metal ring) so as to hook up the skirt to the caravan.  Easy.  No drilling necessary

Strange isn’t it? I’ve used limpets on both our vans and not had a problem with marks only found that they don’t stick on graphics, use them for wheel cover and awning instead of rear poles.

Mr Kiaboy if your offer still stands I will take them off your hands (pm sent)

Pm sent 👍 I wonder if Coachmans paint is soft, hence leaving the marks 🤔🤔

Kampa Limpets fo us,  we use 3 to hold up the twin axle wheel cover and 3 on each end of the awning where it meets the caravan wall, never had a mark caused by them.  Be careful not to over tighten them as the screw stems are quite brittle.

I think it would be interesting to know who has suffered the dreaded Limpet circular marks on the caravan wall, to see if it is a fault with soft paintwork..

1. Manufacturer of caravan

2.  Year of caravan

May be another thread for this :excl:

This is simple and brilliant. Have one on our seasonal pitch.
