sites on the water front

Recommended Posts

could you suggest UK caravan sites that are on the waterfront?  CL's preferred

I know of Chesil Beach but now they have done the site up to a high standard I don't like it due to over crowding .

Loch Earn Leisure park, again don't like that.

visited a site at Calshot alas you have to be in their club to stay, facilities were basic but I liked it better then the two above that have decent facilities.

If you could give me the name and area I'd appreciate that

Pentewan Sands in Cornwall is very much waterfront, both seafront and beachfront,  but is far from being a CL.

Was going to mention Pentewan but, as you say far from being a CL, however, if a caravan club member there are many rallies there when you are paying CL level site fees, if not less.

they look nice, thank you, pity the distance to them from Glasgow for example is so far due to water

Black Grouse has already mentioned it, but it’s difficult to think of more waterfront than Killegruer. Small, quiet site with maybe a dozen or so touring pitches, plus a few statics, not many were occupied even in July.

All the touring pitches are this close to the sea.
