Apple Pie
Probably a really easy answer but how do I tie up these cables? Must be a better way. I used a bungee
Ern
The way those cables are tethered looks quite good. The cables appear to be non standard as they are plugged into a 7to13 core adaptor lead. Functionally perfectly ok I would say. I wouldn't alter it. JCloughie
Hook the bungee to the top of the jockey wheel and close the hook with pliers so it doesn’t fall off. Then run the bungee under the cable and back to the top of the jockey wheel. And close again. This both lifts the cable clear of the road and gives flexibility to corner. Just worried that if I had to stop and take off the stabilizer bar quickly the cable would get caught up.
Stevan
If this is to be a regular combination I would be inclined to change the van to a 13 pin plug. Or use one of these adapters instead:- (don't know why it is such a stupidly long link!) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/13-Pin-to-7-Pin-Trailer-Light-Board-Extension-Adaptor-Socket-Plug-Caravan-Towing/283454790321?hash=item41ff38dab1&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&enc=AQAEAAADMKvsXIZtBqdkfsZsMtzFbFsbX3WcW5fmB%2Fx7ZbaZTyexNIoVtYBsgSBJBX8%2F7tkKJ7g10CYFwWNhm9DjSvZOX3qX3MAQVDVH%2FSKJ6TssFXJ6l%2FlbEORTjYLEhXxcezgAipRmH4m%2B%2FewXhlzs5MV4dWpnHZuesHoAeNteQ2ObJ9qH9x0q9iu%2FTRsPP6WRMRYbKIivpOBahx46KV%2BeEVua%2F33wcsb09nQc6OuHhh44aV1wkbXd%2BtnlzA6F599dAtTWA1OFfiZL0IEv%2BF4f43jxv%2BeIeiOjsZA5VnD7q5IaMW%2BZ3Msnc6KhqKOuAx%2BblLQFQ%2FliCeBNOs%2FHl5kzbA30m1VrhgEil9SETtpdfAJkLB905S7kf0Erjqix7bcsY4rgyHHeWXn8SAaIHrNt2zEe0NVnX%2FnJo%2FEMhT3IX04%2BEVpAkorhSXRINHcNVlHYXfQf9j3ZFzJE9%2BruUAmJx9Hp%2FcOTHFK9oAKRw3C7RNT9VPfjmQZhfC%2B56ApxrzZ4N9RD84XCUNHGDZpqXCO3M%2B3t1fHr%2BQ9J7Z7i4czVsB7qcnJ4Ufd%2F9eCTpQa9Kndd%2BvphEIAwizz4aTPWgoxbfpVz8Z17RYx65Nim%2FGhRlMopxp6ypDQO4w5n40JoLcQxrKXgzqdq9Vuo1pOJvjQlwbApQKTJzGQZjEMd0jzIxlxRRBbgkORXyQDrmoLy%2BiIrot59ip%2FIdl6MQc%2BjnjMxnEyPMoSWlhVanifgKQlK3uhYIudTyXG7FKKwaxbSQSXGvOTvN2mgW%2FHu0FkXiD6JW1yvfl2pRQLRklNYan0csM2jJvNSn7M5dj%2F1eny4xq8mL4XzXUjfn5XrCJ3pOcSOAP0JXPL3oYofVeE6Rz2a0viP7MWY5ajPGY0hDF7rNHl%2Bl0L4fRuJtqIMQ9%2F0R%2Bo79pa1nlUfexDHO3jOAgbVA7oCw8snxS9NFwZxMDUnefeQFdjETCAP%2F%2FgGIX9Sh8L2Xkaiy2Io%2FVk3wDLcE7%2FeNZyNqY1WBEVOaVn5mh%2FngjxgdfwEKslvM1Oebeeyyxi%2FShBIAHemsXzCizLbCmw8nBIurv%2B41%2BnnBjEanTyDCPBz8gNoOw%3D%3D&checksum=283454790321a1f31869bdb54ae3bfdd36b8426330c5

JCloughie
Further to my previous post. This is how I have done it for years. Works well. It also gives somewhere to hang the safety cable. I agree with Stevan Plug in splitter must be better than a cable, but updating the Van to 13 pin would be best. CommanderDave
Change the two 7 pin plugs for a 13 pin double entry and future proof the caravan ? Adaptors add about 20 + connections that can cause lighting issues . https://www.breancaravanangling.com/product/maypole-13-pin-euro-plug-double-entry/ Edited September 9, 2019 by CommanderDave Quote Jeep Commander 3. 0 V6 CRD Isuzu D- Max Utah Auto Elddis Crusader Storm 2000 Kgs, Unipart Royal Atlas Mover .
