6 amp...

Thanks for letting me join, 

I have just been offered a seasonal pitch but it only has 6 amp electric ...can I run a tepenaki on it if not using any other appliance ...

All the Tepenaki I have seen are 2Kw and above power wise, so no, you cannot use it as it would draw 8 Amps.

Agree with Brecon.

Quick way to check is find the wattage of you appliance and divide it by the voltage. 

Eg 1500W ÷ 240V  = 6.25A 

Plus whatever else you have on like battery charger, fridge and wate heater.

Or simply divide the wattage by 250 

Eg 1500w / 250 = 6A

If you must add 5% to the Amps = 6.3A

Or even easier realise the every 1kW = 4amps

Exact no, but then again assuming the voltage is actually 240v isn’t necessarily correct.  But close enough and easy to do in your head.
