Has anyone bought anything from caravanshop.co

i bought some alde antifreeze on 23rd August but although I’ve had confirmation of the order, it said I would receive an email when dispatched

ive received nothing and they aren’t answering the phones, responding to my emails or responding to my voicemails

i paid by PayPal so have had to open a case against them but wondered if anyone else had the same problem or if it’s just me !

That address belongs to a business called the Fireside Shop.  I think its a scam.  There are similar websites called caravanshop.no (Norway), caravanshop.cz (Czech Republic), caravanshop.ru (Russia) and probably more.

What price did you pay?

I looked at their testimonials.  Everything seems to arrive within 2 days and fits perfectly.  One testimonial even mentions the FiresideShop!  Get onto PayPay ASAP so others aren't scammed.

The website has no phone number.  Another clue.

Paid £100

it says their address is

Unit 1 Service Engine Buildings,
Great Lime RD, Newcastle
Upon Tyne, NE12 6RU

seems a very comprehensive website for a scam

I thought you meant caravanshop.com at first but now realise it is .co

They seem to have an address in Newcastle so it would be interesting if any member in Newcastle can identify the address as an office or whatever.

I have to agree that if it is a scam then they have gone to extreme lengths with their descriptions of products etc.

I suspect they keep nowt in stock and just order what you want so maybe that is why there is a delay on delivery. Even so they should have kept you informed.

And .co is Colombia in South America!!

That address is registered to 'Sales 247 Ltd'.  It has two directors, Christopher and Adam Gregg.  If they answer, ask to speak to Adam as if you already know him.

The sites been registered for a few years. My guess is that it is a sole trade and that it's all drop ship and no stock is held and are not aware wether an item had despatched by their suppliers.

The address is probably just a registered address for tax and accounts probably owned by a family member or a friend.

Of course all this is just pure speculation

Sorry, just skimmed your first post and missed that .

I passed that way yesterday and could have called around .

The website shows another number on the contact us. The one I posted is for the fireplace lo.

There is also a link for a caravan park near the borders so you could try that number too

The Fireside Shop... seems a genuine business.  Given their website, Facebook page and a physical, fascia'd up premises, it does not look as though it is operated by scammers.   Searching their website for antifreeze or Alde  returns a blank too.

Fireside Shop. 0191 268 0027

CaravanCo        0191 268 8111

Sentences like 'Tyres sound with 3mm of tread complying with Tyre Safety Regs' (from CaravanCo website about page) sound somewhat less than native English too.

I promised to give an update

I finally got a response from the seller and it turned out he didnt have the items in stock and couldnt get hold of them from his supplier or ALDE (who would only sell him a pallett load 😂)

anyway, finally got a paypal refund and bought from elsewhere

Google Street View shows the Fireside Shop at that address.

Apologies - Should read the whole thread - someone has already given that info.
