GaryB1969
Wow. Nasty. I've just shown it to my wife & daughter and explained why I am so careful about weights, loading and speed*. Again, it shows just how little time there is between a snake starting and disaster happening. *no, I am not suggesting this was caused by any of those. PandR
What else could have caused it? It overtook the lorry at quite a pace and probably got caught in the accompanying "draught". The dash cam will allow a precise calculation of the speed to be ascertained. Quote Spanish Trip 2020 - - Time to bailout... Jaydug
Quote from the lorry driver - "They came down the hill faster than me." I think to accelerate down a hill is a recipe for disaster. Even if I'm about to overtake a HGV going up a hill, and it's close to the crown, I think twice, because the HGV will soon pick up speed. CommanderDave
Looked like it rolled about 4 times . Lucky it could of been far worse and my guess would be the front bow wave from the lorry was enough to make the van flick out and going down hill ? I was talking to my sister this weekend, who told me they used to take their cat on tour...and it travelled in the caravan! Apparently it slept peacefully on the front bench! Rocked to sleep I assume.

IIRC the Challenger SE came with ATC as standard, it was the Challenger Sport that did not. From the window and locker configuration it looks like a 584SE and with the Landcruiser would have been well under 85%.
Durbanite
Driver was lucky to get away with a few injuries probably due to Shogun being a sturdy vehicle. IMHO speeding witha single axle caravan on a downhill stretch was the issue but I am probably wrong. Yesterday on the M4 near Cardiff I saw for the first time a caravan in the outside 3rd lane overtaking a lorry and he was moving, The traffic was really busy but moving along okay.
