An excellent site you need to check mobile signal (for your network if important ) Rothbury nearest place nice shops excellent butchers, Cragside (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/cragside) a interesting venue. shipbroker Posted August 22, 2019 Share Posted August 22, 2019 Used to be a favourite of ours many moons back...OK not much in way of facilities if that bothers you but as an area great for getting to the coast, Cragside and Rothbury and the wilder parts of Northumberland...pitches are generous and EHU OK... ian16527 Posted August 23, 2019 Author Share Posted August 23, 2019 Management decision has been made so we back off to River Breamish. The dog is just coming off season and I know the walks around River Breamish so makes life easier for me and there's the shop/petrol station at the end of the road for essentials. The attraction with Nunnykirk is the price and I love grass pitches rather than hardstanding, so £15 per night compared to £30 next week for River Breamish looks good value. Lack of facilities is not a problem as we use our own mainly, but it looks a little isolated. Maybe try it next summer. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
