Delamination

Recommended Posts

What does delamination look/feel like. What should I be watching out for?

Thanks

Paul

As above, a part of the floor could feel a bit spongy under foot or have dips in it, it can happen anywhere but usually occurs in the doorway or kitchen area as these are most used areas.

You can repair it yourself from above or get it repaired from underneath.  My previous caravan had the kitchen area repaired from underneath perhaps 1.5m total length under a warranty insurance policy by my dealer, I saw the bill and it was £225.

Very spongy flooring probably means delamination as said above.

then drilled and glued it,

put a new floor covering, stick on vinyl planks, in same beech pattern, and hey ho, no bounce.

note old van, dry as a bone
