Clent Hills Campsite [C&CC Site]

Recommended Posts

I was born in Stourbridge, and have visited Clent Hills many times - it is a really beautiful area. We live now in Scotland, so booked Clent over the phone on the way down to the Newhaven to Dieppe Ferry [usual moan, cannot book online because it has to be 2 nights minimum, but phone booking or just turn up on the off -chance is fine for overnight stops!].

£24.15 for 1 night on hardstanding pitch with individual EHU, but was able to use 1 of the 'Welcome to C&CC Membership' vouchers, so net cost only just over £9 for a fabulous welcome to a beautiful site. The fees are not cheap, but there is a very new toilet block with very well -equipped showers, including a shower curtain so that your clothes don't get soaked from spray drift! Chemical WC Disposal Point is immaculate, with stainless steel disposal point plus flushing hose and a handsink with piping hot water and soap dispenser.

Reception sells milk  and basic items plus Calor Gas bottle exchange and there is a small range of spares for those infuriating things that fail when you most need them to work.

Overall, one of the friendliest, newest, cleanest and best-run sites that we have stayed on.  This will be top of the list for stops to/from the Ferry to France - just a shame that it is not open all year.

We stayed on this site from Sunday 13th to 20th of April . We would agree with everything you say in your review. Lovely site with good facilities and friendly wardens. From Sunday to Thursday the site was busy but quiet but come Easter Friday a different species of camper arrived with rules not for them, a father and daughter playing football with a heavy casey in between the caravans in front of the no ball games sign being 1 example of deteriorating behaviour for the rest of our stay , which was not corrected by the wardens. I would love to return but would only go out of holidays which we had to do because our 10 year old grandson was with us.
