Habitation Door Catch Problems (2018 Swift Challenger)

Recommended Posts

Whenever I have used Araldite on plastics it has never stuck that well and the joints have easily come apart. Thread lock/Loctite is the thing to use on threads as suggested.

Hi EW,

Stripped it AGAIN and removed the whole door flap from the outer catch assembly only to find that the 'chrome' plastic tube bit which houses the square rod was disintegrating!! Epoxy did rectify this whilst I wait for a new flap. The dealer carries them in stock they do fail.  Surprise surprise!

there is nothing else left to repair - that's it!

Cheers!

Thank-you for the advice.... i will bear it in mind... but where does that leave us with the advice: The only things you need in your toolbox is a roll of gaffer tape... and a can of wd40? ☺

Advertising hype dreamed up by the manufacturers of Gaffer tape and WD40
