cockneychris
I thought that I would pick your brains with regard to sites in Cornwall or Devon. Our requirements are that it is a quiet site no swimming pool required as there are no children going so adult only sites are also acceptable. A short walk to a local dog friendly pub would be great though. With regard to dogs we have 1 German Shepherd with a great temprament but I have seen a site that even says that Staffs are banned. Near ‘ish to the sea so muttley can have a good swim as well. This year we are going for a fully serviced pitch with elec, water and waste. If you can recommend a lovely site then I would love to hear about it. Oh! The van is 8 meters long so a large pitch would be needed. DrBob
We would suggest Carnon Downs site, about 3 miles west of Truro. Beautifully kept site with first class shower blocks, spacious pitches ( we too have an 8m TA caravan), many fully serviced, and quite reasonable dog walking onsite. National Trust properties (eg Trellissick) and beaches nearby. We love it here, had 2 x 1 week visits here last year. http://www. carnon-downs-caravanpark. co. uk/home. html DrBob

Kevin Denford
I would highly recommend Dornafield in the Newton Abbot area of South Devon, we had such a fantastic week we have re-booked again this year. The toilet blocks are immaculate the site absolutely beautiful and tidy, two separate dog walking fields and fully serviced pitches. I can't recommend it enough. We think it's a total hidden gem of a site that you should consider. https://www. dornafield. com

Borussia 1900
We stayed on Perran Sands near Perranporth, it's not what you're looking for (it's huge and noisy) but whilst there I cycled around the area and had a quick butchers here: https://www. trevella. co. uk/ it looked quite nice. These appeared ok too: https://www. parkdeanresorts. co. uk/location/cornwall/holywell-bay/ https://www. trevornick. co. uk/ Edited January 28, 2019 by Borussia 1900 Quote 2015 3. 2 Auto Mitsubishi Pajero tugging a 2016 Tabbert Pucinni 2. 5e
MHE
Second vote for Carnon Downs. Went there October last year, going again this March. Lovely dog walks from NT property Trellissik (mentioned by DrBob above), however need to pay to park if not NT member. We also have 8m Caravan but access to site is excellent, direct from A road, so no challenges towing down some of Cornwall’s more interesting roads. Had fully services pitch. You can pick your pitch from site plan when booking if you wish. Michael
Wonkydonkey
We also have a dog and she enjoys a swim so we always visit www. woolacombe-sands. co. uk Easy walking distance to the dog friendly beach, over 4 miles long with parts dog free, parts dogs on lead and the majority lead free. Site has full serviced pitches and all facilities but is family run.

madwitch
Would recommend Warcombe Farm, Moreton, near Woolacombe, North Devon and also Ross Park, Ipplepen, Newton Abbot, Devon. Both have very good facilities for dogs and owners
