Electric kettle failure

Recommended Posts

Our kettle failed this morning, not by just by dying but somewhat spectacularly. The auto switch off failed so the kettle just boiled over and splattered boiling water about. Fortunately only the furniture was splashed but I’ll be more careful to keep the next one further away from the seating area. Cou,d have been nasty.

Do what we do - use gas and a singing kettle - then you know when it's boiled!

Surely to boil over it was filled above the high level mark.    Or maybe the lid was not properly closed.

Both mistakes I've made myself and found the kettle continuing to boil its head off. .😀

As said sounds like the lid not put on right and it continues to boil . I find most of our kettles if the lid is not completely shut they don't switch off .
