truma fire

Recommended Posts

Could anyone advise me on our truma fire, what is it likely to be, if no heating on electric side, ( we don't use the gas ) ,

Th e fan works, is it an element problem maybe? how do I find the problem, Im afraid complete novice with this,

Thans Dode.

Check you have 240 v entering the caravan first at a plug socket then check the mcbs at the fuse box usually under a bunk . The fan runs on 12 v feed but the heating elements require a 240 v Ehu feed.

Is the thermostat turned sufficiently high to be calling for heat?

That’s the thermostat dial on the wall, not the dial on top of the heater.

Use the forum search feature for < Ultraheat > as the Truma fire is known,   as this has come up numerous times before. .. https://www. caravantalk. co. uk/community/topic/129058-truma-ultraheat/?tab=comments#comment-1554912  is one of the more recent.   The topmost sticky of this sub-forum is relevant reading.

If you have the skills and measuring kit it's fairly straight forward to diagnose and fix.   If not you'll need a technician or service centre to do it.
