Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommend  any sites in north wales please, we have never been, so don't know it at all, just the 2 adults, no kids or pets, would like it near a market town maybe.

Thanks in advance,

Dode.

Consider Tyddyn Du at Penmaenmawr  LL34 6RE. Marvellous sea views from the site. Easy access from the A55. Adult only site . Part of the Tranquil sites set up

Travel on A55 and when past Conway and close to Llandudno, turn left towards Betsy-co-ed(?) - apologies for the terrible spelling).  Its on the edge of the town of Llanwrst (don't go into the town, site is just before it).  Its in three parts, which has a general site for families, a CL site (only allows 5 caravans) and an adults only part.   Brilliant site.   Only about 3 miles from Betsy co-ed, and about 10 miles from Llandudno.   Visited this site last year and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.   It was a farm.

If you fancy a lakeside site 4 miles from Bala town. Check this out http://www. glanllyn. com/

we were there last September and loved it. Lake access, although the hardstands are 150 metres from the lake, the grass pitches are within yards of the lake. Not Buchanan there except the views and the Lake but the town has pubs and a supermarket.

Or

I hope this helps.

Pen y Bont at Bala. You can stroll into town past the lake - and the countryside is spectacular no matter what direction you go in.

Yes I agree, checked this out when we were at Glan Lyn and it looked great very handy for Bala. It maybe just us but we preferred Glan Lyn because of the lake access but it depends what you want. pen y Bont is much closer to town.

Oh if you go to Bala go for the white water rafting in the National whitewater centre about 4 miles from Bala it really is fantastic.

Morris Leisure have a site close to Betsw y Coed centre.   I have'nt been there, but have used a couple of their Shropshire sites, which are excellent.

We've just stayed at Tyddyn Du and its lovely with views and sunsets to die for. Its close to Anglesey, Llandudno, Bodnant Gardens etc. Also a nice is Tyddyn Llwyn near Portmadoc. You can walk into Portmadoc, Borth a Guest and Blackrock beach is a 2 minute drive away. North Wales is quite diverse, a lit bit more info on which type of holiday you want may give better suggestions.
