Caravan sites in Suffolk and Norfolk

Recommended Posts

We would like to holiday in Suffolk and Norfolk this year with our Bailey Seville caravan plus small dog.   Could anyone recommend good sites for these two counties.

Are you members of either CAMC or the C&CC clubs?

We did a 30 day tour up the East coast last year from Suffolk through Norfolk into Lincolnshire. We use UKCS web site a lot and find that very useful because it has good filters. Suffolk is one of the underrated counties in our opinion.

What sort of site and location do you prefer? Do you want to tour or stay in one place?

I too am looking at Suffolk.   In Norfolk, stayed at a lovely site called Two Mills Touring Site at North Walsham.   Its an adults only site.   Also, its the only site ever where there are satellites dotted around the site for your tv.   You can actually hire a Sky box from the wardens.   The site on a couple of levels, we were on the bottom part.

Were having 2 weeks in the same area in June. The sites I have already booked are Deersmead Norfolk   http://www. deersmead. co. uk/ . They suit our needs and  are well placed for the things we want to visit; they also take dogs and are close to a common for dog  exercise.

My other 3 day stop over is near Ipswich at a C. L called Copenhagen cottage   UKCS/sites/details. asp?revid=12632.

Good hunting.

We have stopped at the CMC site at Ludham Bridge.

Ludham village,Wroxham ( trains to Norwich )and Horning all not too far away.

Excellent,flat and spotless.

Might be worth a visit if you are a member.

We frequently stay at a small CL called Croft Farm in Snape.

http://www. croftfarmsnape. co. uk/

It's a very basic CL and hence may not be to everyone's taste, but it suits us perfectly. Snape Maltings are but a walk away and Aldeburgh is a short drive.

Recommended.

Agreed, nice friendly little site. .....just wish they had a shower block and more toilet facilities. We ran a small rally there a few years ago, kept meaning to go back but haven't so far.

We've booked the CAMC Seacroft site at Cromer for later this year, never been before, I'm hoping it will be nice.

Very nice site indeed, especially the recently added serviced pitches in the extended area. On site restaurant is good plus you can easily stroll into cromer or bus stops right outside with regular services all round the N Norfolk coastline. You will def like it.

We were thinking of perhaps 2 sites, one in Suffolk around Aldeburgh and one in Norfolk above Norwich but are open to suggestions

For Suffolk near Aldeburgh I would recommend either Beach View Holiday Park at Sizewell or Cakes and Ale near Leiston. Both are roughly equidistant between Aldeburgh and Southwold. Beach View is very close to Sizewell power station, which might put you off, but it is right behind the beach and the Coastal Path. Cakes and Ale is immaculately kept and the sanitary facilities are excellent; it is inland and there is a field where you can exercise your dog but otherwise walking is limited unless you get in the car first. Both sites have bars/club houses.
