With apologies to the Bard.

  1. A caravan - no way!
  2. Let's try a cheap two berth and see how we go
  3. Our family is growing, it's time for something larger
  4. We definitely need more room now the kids are growing, maybe a twin axle
  5. Kids have gone, lets get a single axle, it'll be easier to manage
  6. Aches and pains and a pension that shrinks, we'll get a little two berth next.
  7. A caravan - no way!

I've got nothing to do on this hot afternoon

but to settle down and write you a line.

Cheers Andy. That places me and the boss at step 6. I think it might get crowded here on this little step when the rest of you catch up with us.

Not very much like our path!

We got to 2. Then kicked the kids out into pup tents, then it all went crazy for quite a few years and at 6. - Aches and pains and a pension, fixed bed needed and that meant a bigger van.

Oh there's a few more steps before number 7

5/ Kids have gone, back to a 2 berth

6/ Hello Nana and Grandad, 4 berth to accommodate the little darlings

7/ Not cool enough for todays teenagers, back to 2 berth

8/ Fed up with making beds, fixed bed next

9/ Are we too old for this yet?

10/ NO!

Ah, I had to skid through some of the detail to bring it down to seven.

And it had to start and end the same to match Shakespeare's original thesis.

Wonder what sort of caravan Shakespeare would have had?A Stratford Leisure dealer special probably. Anybody been watching Upstart Crow?

He wouldn't be able to decide how many berths he needed. 2B or not 2B?I'll get my coat.

If we are talking Shakespeare in the context of the caravan manufacturing industry it must surely be 'The Comedy of Errors'. And having read a few of the sorry tales on this forum about serious faults I should think there are a few owners who might have christened their caravans 'Richard III'

How we all love reading about the great tragedies of caravanning but there are lots that enjoy a Midsummer Night's Dream.
