Yes, a reputable make like Kumho, from a reputable supplier like Amazon, sounds like good advice to me.

You beat me to it!

For those who don’t wish to use Amazon then don’t!!

I posted my experience for the information of others. Like everything else in the world YOU have a totally free choice as to what you do with that information.

I didn't know Amazon sold tyres but I'll be sure to check out their prices next time I need some.

THAT was the whole point of my original post!

I only discovered that fact by chance, and as the price was so good I thought I would pass the information on. .

Just be aware that caravan tyres usually have a much higher load rating that ordinary car tyres. (Which are unsuitable for caravans) Apologies if you are aware, but many people just look at the tyre size and don’t know about load ratings.

Andy. ..My tyres are fitted at home by a local small specialist tyre workshop and the fitter is a fellow caravanner, so I know that the Hankooks fitted this time matched the ones that were on. ...However, I remember having to lend my spare to a fellow rallier who was running with a Ford wheel and road tyre on. ....which separated!

No form of trying to be a S. A. on my part, my comment was for the benefit of others really as, as you allude to, not everyone seems to know about load ratings in regards to caravan tyres.

p. s. Did the tyre delamination damage his caravan! A chunk of tread thrapping around in a wheel arch can inflict some serious damage in a very short space of time.

Just had a quick look on Amazon. On the first page of tyres for my car ( 245 45 19 ), only one was sold by Amazon. The rest were all other sellers using Amazon Marketplace, and from the name  of the supplier they seem to be all the other side of The English Chanel / North Sea. I don't think Amazon do a wonderful job of policing marketplace traders.

Still, there's always Fleabay. ....................

And your evidence for that statement is based on what?? They have a huge reputation to maintain.

If you don’t want to buy via Amazon then don’t!

As I said previously, I got a good deal so simply started this thread to let others know.

Amazon are VERY good in the event of “non arrival” of anything purchased from/via them. Wife’s friend ordered goods from what it turned out to be an “unreliable” source via Amazon. She contacted Amazon and within three days they (Not the merchant) refunded her in full.

Out of interest my tyres were exactly that size (To fit a Mazda 6 Sport Nav)

We went to the show yesterday with complimentary winning tickets!

Busy as expected for Saturday, so got what we wanted and left!

Bought a sun awning from Doreema with offer for show and storm strap set thrown in.  Just waiting for delivery of it now.

New set of towing mirrors, two cups of coffee and all done!

Did anyone else purchase anything interesting?

Hmm!! Not sure how I managed to post this under this heading!!!!
