moorlandman
Hi folks I want to test my caravan inner panels for damp especially around the windows, (my mate has a meter) what is the acceptable damp limit in percentage please. Sheltie
Hi Terry. Below is the standard damp report guidance blurb you get from a dealer after a service. Regards Jonny Readings between 0-15% - readings not recorded because of no cause for concern Readings between 16%-20% - require further investigation. Compare with the average reading. Consider asking to recheck the area in three months. Readings above 21% - will identify areas possibly needing remedial work. There may be signs of water ingress or evidence of moisture. Again, it may be worth considering a recheck after 3 months. Readings above 30% - structural damage may be occuring and deterioration is inevitable. hp100425ev
Swift always used to work on the basis that they will only look at damp repairs where readings exceed 25%. I have not heard any change to this .
