I don't know about the rest of the EU but it's pot-luck at the German fuel pumps what you're going to pay as diesel (petrol not so much) can fluctuate in price at the same petrol station by up to 20% in the same day. Generally early evening seems to be cheapest and during the night and early morning the most expensive. I find the UK has much more stable (if more expensive) prices.

Diesel was €1. 06 (86p) on my way home from work last night, how much is it in the UK at the moment?

Luxembourg is the cheapest

Yes It can change a few times in the day in Germany. In Austria it changes every day at 12 noon going up in price up to 10cents more. Though Austria is quite a bit cheaper than Germany and they are only allowed to change it once a day. Next morning it's back to cheaper price.

Just filled up in Thetford, Norfolk £123. 4. So more expensive over here and that is Sainsbury's

Around £1. 20. Sometimes £1. 18 at supermarkets. Don't buy fuel on our motorways. You'll pay around 15p p ltr more.
