Touring Sites In South With Good Kids Entertainment

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend some good touring sites in the South? Suitable for kids under 6 and preferably with some adult entertainment and plenty for the kids to do?

Best I found so far is Sandy Balls?

Don't always assume that the children want "all-singing and dancing" sites. Our 2 boys were brought up caravanning and apart from maybe the odd Bank holiday at a full commercial site, the rest were just basic sites. Children make friends and enjoy the outdoors - and the parents get to know each other too. Take their bikes and let the World unwind around you!

Exactly what we do.

If you want the south, go to rookesbury cc site near fareham. No entertainment as such, but the kids will love the fresh air and walk up through the woods to the play area, they won't want to leave. The walk into wickham down the old steam railway line and visit to the posh tea shop in the square is great. You're also only 15mins from south sea seafront with all the entertainment you want, but can leave when you want, rather than being in your face all the time.

Failing that, if you have to have entertainment etc, then try some of the Best of British parks you'll get a decent standard

Another vote for Rookesbury, nice site.

As for facilities we once got four nights at Burnham Haven for £100 in Oct half term. Nice site, the hard standing touring pitches are very good, there is a good mix of kids and adult stuff.

I've been going to Vauxhall Holiday Park since the mid 1970's. Lots to do for everyone and good entertainment.

Ok it's not south South, but it's not overly far from where you live and good roads all of the way.

It has recently been acquired by Parkdean Resorts, which may change how it is run a bit, but the facilities will remain the same. So far all I've noticed is the opening seasons have been extended

Try Bunn Leisure In Selsey Decent touring site situated on the edge of the biggest static caravan site on the south coast.

3 or 4 club houses all with family entertaiment, the largest has a great indoor pool attached on site fairground with Chichester Bognor Regis and the Witterings within Easy reach.

Can be pricey but you get acces to all facilities accept the fairground of course.

Weve been there quite a few times.
