Odd days

M20 Shut Saturday 27Th August !

Recommended Posts

Fair play to them.

Of course the next round of disruption comes when they re instate the bridge which is likely to be for even longer, though hopefully it won't require full closure for too long.

M20 now re-opened. They must have worked hard to do that.

We don't muck about in Kent.

No hoops just pay by phone up to 24 hrs later.

Dart Charge

Telephone: 0300 300 0120

Textphone: 18001 0300 300 0120

Every day, 5am to midnight

True 'no hoops' under normal circumstances.

But if they claim you haven't paid when you know damn well that you have, you get to jump through more hoops than a circus sea lion to prove yourself right and them wrong.

Just like to say well done to Kent Police and all contractors etc who managed to reopen the M20 in such a short space of time bearing in mind the severity of the accident. I noticed on the midday news on Sunday that the motorway was actually clear in both directions at that time and they were just waiting for engineers report on the remaining part of the bridge structure. Motorists delayed by this should think themselves lucky that those 'muppets' in Hampshire that closed the A31 at Stoney Cross for 7 hours to clear away a caravan weren't involved in the M20 accident as they would probably have closed the M20 for 2 or 3 weeks or more!!!! Most of important of all I hope the guy who was injured makes a full and speedy recovery.

For M20 travellers.

M20 was shut this weekend to remove the remains of the bridge. Work has progressed so well that they hope to re-open the M20 by 6am Monday morning.

This thread will remain locked to ensure travellers read this last post.
