A very knowledgeable man, I bought his Haynes caravan manual in the '90s and used it many times. Would have been lost without it. Guest Posted December 10, 2015 Share Posted December 10, 2015 I think we first met under a caravan at the NEC, as I peered beneath to look at the running gear on a new caravan, John's face appeared from the other side, doing exactly the same! Since then we met on several occasions, mostly in the press room at the various caravan shows, and he was a thoroughly nice chap to share a conversation with. Although having seen him on the Caravan channel etc and read many articles by him in the last twenty five years have to admit I did not recognise him, luckily he introduced himself. A real gent along with his lovely wife and so enthusiastic about our pastime. Our deepest sympathy to his lovely wife and family.
