Blairgowrie Holiday Park

Recommended Posts

We have booked 2 nights at Blairgowrie Holiday Park for this week.

Limited choice for anywhere to stay after October 31st that isn't too far away for a first time.

Had a quick look around on this Forum for any info but haven't found anything.

Has anybody on here used this site in the last few years ??

Was it any good?

Is there anything we should look out for ?

Is there a pub in walking distance ??

All the usual important stuff !!

Sorry I can't help you as I have exactly the same questions as you. We intend to book a pitch there next spring. Perhaps you could let us know when you've been there?

Well kept site principally a static site with 23 tourer pitches. Toilets clean and well maintained some pitches sloping.

Blairgowrie surprisingly is the biggest town in Perthshire after Perth itself. Lots to do in the area, lots of places to eat from the corner café to fine dining. Every variety of take away. Big Tesco and Coop. Lots of specialist small shops. Site itself is in the middle of a housing estate, shop for essentials just outside the gate (licensed). Several pubs in town a 10 to 15 minute walk from site. New Wotherspoons opened. Try the Ericht Alehouse for Real Ale, large selection of specialist ales.

Ideally located at the Gateway to the Highlands, Blairgowrie is the perfect location for touring N,S E and W

Ready to set off in our first adventure !

First attempt at pitching up. Should have been to one side of the pitch but ended up slap bang in the middle ! On one of those sloping pitches that b4bill mentioned !!

DSCN0370.jpg

Couldnt quite park the Musso on the pitch. Checked with the people at reception. As long as the caravan was on pitch it was fine.

At Reception. Just heading home.

We really liked this site. Toilets were clean. Facilities for water & waste clean and tidy.

We had a slight problem with our toilet. It wouldn't flush !! Electric. So we used a watering can to flush.

Just one of a few niggles & problems we had.

Part of the fun !!!

Yes Pierre19. it was the first thing I thought of.

A small pink blade fuse in the Cassette Cupboard. Looked Fine. ...

Couldn't fine any other buttons or switches that I should have pressed. Any ideas ??

Right.

Humble Pie Time Pierre19. ..

I just went back out to my Bailey. Got the fuse out.

Held it up with some STRONG light behind it.

It has BLOWN !!

AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH !!!!!!!

Admittedly it did take that really bright light to see it. It has blown near the top where ther is a small bubble in the plastic.

And I had spare fuses in the car all the time. Thought I had left them in the house.

So my apologies Pierre19. You were right. Sorry.

:(:unsure::blink:

:D Forgiven ??

Pete,

Perth is indeed a City and before it was officially a city it was a City. Not confusing you now I hope. Written into the history books as "The Fair City"

However I have read many accounts of peoples visits to the VILLAGE of Blairgowrie hence why I point out it is the second biggest TOWN after Perth. Maybe I need to change that to "The second biggest town after Perth City
